Starting your Journey
The very first thing you have to do when starting your journey is to set your goals. Measurable, realistic goals that will be the driving force behind your lifestyle changes. Anytime you need motivation think back and remind yourself of why you started. If you want the accountability, take measurements as well as your weight to have a starting point. My clients always light up when they see the progress they have made, and I am sure so will you! This is also going to keep you motivated to stay on track.
What Do I Want?
Ask yourself what do I want from this journey? What is the result that I want at the end of this journey? Visualize it! See yourself in that dress or bikini you plan to wear on your next vacation. See yourself able to run and play games or play with your children… and tell yourself that YOU CAN DO IT!
Why do I want this?
Knowing why you want something is also very important. Establish the why and you will discover your drive. Think about the main reason you want to make this change.
What do you have to do to reach your goals?
Its not enough to have a goal. A goal without a plan is just a wish. You have to establish what you need to do to reach your goals. For example: I want to lose 10lb. In order to lose this weight I need to exercise, eat clean and be consistent. Now we are getting there!
